KUALA LUMPUR — Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil was today conferred the Darjah Kebesaran Dato’ Paduka Mahkota Selangor (D.P.M.S.), which carries the title Datuk, in conjunction with the 80th birthday celebration of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.
Fahmi was among 98 distinguished individuals honoured at the investiture ceremony held at the Balairung Seri, Istana Alam Shah, Klang.
Also receiving the D.P.M.S. — which confers the title Datuk for men and Datin Paduka for women — was Selangor Rural Development, Unity and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman Datuk Rizam Ismail. In total, 16 recipients were awarded the D.P.M.S. honour this year.
The ceremony was graced by Sultan Sharafuddin, who presided over the presentation of state awards, honours and medals to the full list of 98 recipients.
Also in attendance were Tengku Permaisuri Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah, and his consort Datin Paduka Seri Afzaa Fadini Abdul Aziz.
Heading this year’s honours list was the Sultan’s daughter, Tengku Zerafina, who led the distinguished group of recipients recognised in conjunction with His Royal Highness’ official birthday. – December 11, 2025
