KUALA LUMPUR – Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Hannah Yeoh was seen leaving Istana Negara at 9.43am today following a high-profile meeting of the Federal Territories Pardons Board.
Yeoh’s vehicle, a Toyota Vellfire, exited the palace grounds through Gate 2 nearly two hours after her initial arrival at 7.48am.
She drove past without offering any comments or statements to the gathering press corps, who had been stationed at the palace gates since 7am.
As of late morning, vehicles carrying Attorney General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar were not yet seen departing the premises.
The urgent sitting follows reports that the board reconvened today specifically to deliberate on the pardon application of former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
The high-stakes petition was reportedly the single item listed on the agenda for today’s session, coming just a week after consideration of the matter was deferred. – September 18, 2026
