Budget 2027: Home, Defence ministries get RM22bil each, RM1.1bil for enforcement agencies

KUALA LUMPUR – The Home Ministry and Defence Ministry will each receive RM22 billion under Budget 2027 to strengthen national security, enhance defence capabilities and improve enforcement operations.

Of the allocation, RM7.1 billion has been earmarked for the procurement and maintenance of assets for the armed forces, police and uniformed agencies under the Home Ministry.

Meanwhile, RM1.1 billion will be allocated to enforcement agencies, including the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN), Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM) and Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC), to strengthen their operational capabilities. – October 9, 2026
