KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC) is inviting aspiring financial planners, students, and members of the public to join the Malaysian Financial Planning Day (MFPD) 2025 on October 11 (Saturday) at the Securities Commission Malaysia, from 8am to 5pm.

Jointly organised with the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM), the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA), and the Malaysian Financial Planners and Advisers Association (MFPAA), this flagship event promises a comprehensive look into the nation’s financial planning industry.

Guest of Honor from Securities Commission Malaysia, is scheduled to officiate the event, which will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, and breakout sessions led by some of the industry’s most respected voices.

Among the highlights are two concurrent tracks – one at the Conference Hall and another at the Auditorium – covering themes such as building a career in financial planning, the impact of artificial intelligence on wealth management, and financial strategies for different life stages.

The programme also features a roundtable on the gig economy, exploring how financial planning can empower today’s rapidly changing workforce. Panellists from FPAM, AFA, and MFPAA will share insights on how to thrive in this evolving landscape.

In addition to the learning sessions, participants can explore exhibition booths, interact with licensed financial planning firms, and take part in networking opportunities. Admission is free of charge, with fun activities, career advice, and lucky draw prizes adding to the excitement.

MFPC President Andy Ng Yen Heng said the event reflects the council’s mission of promoting financial literacy and career opportunities for young Malaysians.

Endorsed for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Continuing Education (CE) credits, the event also appeals to practitioners seeking to enhance their professional standing.
