HERMAN Harun, a roadside cobbler for over 20 years, prepares customers’ shoes in front of the Hero supermarket in Puncak Jalil, Selangor. Herman, who has been repairing shoes since 1998, says his efforts have clearly paid off as he ensured a proper education for all three of his children. Despite his modest earnings, he remains grateful and takes pride in seeing his children attend university. – March 8, 2024
