KUALA TERENGGANU – Tourism Terengganu has denied being involved in collecting rental for “Jom Heboh” event stall lots.

Its director, Fadli Yusof, said an allegation on the matter circulating on social media claimed Tourism Terengganu had sold the lots and hired an agent to collect the rental deposit.

Fadil said they were taking the allegation seriously and advised those who were duped to report to the police to prevent more traders from being deceived.

“This is absolutely untrue and we urge the affected traders or the public to immediately report to the police,” he said in a statement today.

Fadil said Tourism Terengganu also advises the public to follow the progress on official social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok for authentic information.

For the record, the last Jom Heboh programme was held in Terengganu on October 7 and 8, 2022 at the Gong Badak Stadium compound in Kuala Nerus. – September 3, 2023
