Police nab 10 over theft of RM4.6 mil in casino chips

KUALA LUMPUR – Police have arrested 10 people to assist in investigations over the theft of RM4.6 million worth of casino chips at an outlet in Genting Highlands on October 28.

According to a report in Harian Metro, Pahang police chief Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman said that the individuals were arrested following a series of police raids.

He said investigations are ongoing, and more raids may be conducted as a report was lodged by the Genting casino’s security management on October 28 regarding the break-in.

The case is currently being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code.

Police have requested that members of the public with information on the matter come forward and contact the Bentong police headquarters at 09-222-2222 or any nearby police station to assist in the investigations. – November 5, 2023
