KUALA LUMPUR – Police have received a report regarding a viral video clip of an obscene conversation linked to former director-general of the Community Communications Department Datuk Mohammad Agus Yusoff and one of his officers.

Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said Agus lodged the report at the Kajang police station yesterday.

“The investigation is being conducted under Section 500 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998,” he said last night.

Hussein said that his department would be contacting several people soon to assist with the investigation.

Earlier, a three-minute video clip depicting an online conversation between a man allegedly resembling Agus and another individual went viral on social media.

Agus, at a press conference at a hotel in Bangi near here yesterday, claimed that the video was edited and that he had filed a police report regarding the matter. – November 18, 2023
