KUALA LUMPUR – MPH Bookstores is closing its flagship outlet in Mid Valley Megamall and is offering discounts of up to 90% to clear stock as it prepares to move to a new location.

In reply to comments on its Facebook post announcing the sale, MPH said the store will be moving to The Exchange TRX.

The last day of operations at Mid Valley is January 31.

The bookstore operator did not give a date for its opening at The Exchange TRX but said it is scheduled for this year.

The discounts in the ongoing sale at the Mid Valley outlet are only applicable to walk-in customers, it added in a response to Facebook queries.

The clearance sale began on January 22 and MPH’s social media posts to promote the sale show a wide variety of books available while stocks last.

In a notice on the company’s website, MPH thanked customers for 25 years at its Mid Valley outlet, a “megastore” that expanded to offer special-order titles and collection points when it ventured into e-commerce with MPHOnline. – January 24, 2024
