MetMalaysia alert for Sarawak: thunderstorms, heavy rainfall this evening

Kuching, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei expect to experience bad weather until 6pm

KUALA LUMPUR – Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected in parts of Sarawak this evening.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said Kuching, Sri Aman, Betong, and Sarikei are the affected areas, which will experience bad weather until 6pm.

The warning was issued after signs showed rainfall in excess of 20 mm/h within an hour. 

The stormy weather, however, is not expected to last for more than six hours.
