KUALA LUMPUR – Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has been hospitalised due to a bacterial infection since last Thursday.

According to sources, he has been receiving treatment at Pantai Hospital here for the past few days.

Meanwhile, a senior Bersatu member told Scoop that the Pagoh MP was admitted after developing a fever and is expected to be discharged soon.

“He was admitted last Thursday and is likely to be discharged soon — possibly today or tomorrow, depending on the doctor’s advice,” the party member said, declining to share further details.

“For the past few days, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s health has not been well and he is currently in hospital for treatment. Let us all pray that our beloved leader is granted full recovery and returns to health as before.”

He reminded Bersatu grassroots members of Muhyiddin’s sacrifices and resilience in facing political trials and challenges.

“In our journey as party members, we have witnessed Tan Sri Muhyiddin’s sacrifices, struggles and perseverance. We must stand with him, for he has always remained steadfast through pressure and hardship for the sake of our cause.

“May Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin recover quickly and continue his struggle for religion, race and country,” said the Bersatu member. — August 29, 2025
