KUALA LUMPUR – Tasek Gelugor MP Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan has demanded that Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) information chief Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz apologise and pay RM10 million in damages over allegedly defamatory remarks aired on the YouTube channel “The Tiger Show Podcast” on Oct 31, 2025.

In a Facebook post today, Wan Saiful said he had, through his lawyers Messrs Bahar Rusnan & Associates, taken legal action against Tun Faisal over the remarks linked to the Jana Wibawa programme.

The letter of demand dated December 3, 2025, among others, calls on Tun Faisal to fully retract the defamatory statements, issue written and video apologies, provide an undertaking not to repeat the statements, bear all legal costs and related expenses, and pay RM10 million in damages.

“I have been informed by my lawyers that Tun Faisal, through his lawyers, has sent a reply letter dated January 12, 2026.

“My lawyers are currently reviewing and studying the reply before deciding on further action,” he said.

The issue has drawn public attention within the national political arena.

The statements alleged to be defamatory are said to have tarnished Wan Saiful’s reputation and integrity, prompting the need for legal action to defend his rights and dignity.

If the demands are not met, legal action will be initiated in court.

“I stress that I reserve and maintain all my rights under the law in relation to this matter without prejudice,” he added.– January 18, 2026
