KUALA LUMPUR — The country’s leaders have extended their well wishes to the 413,299 candidates who received their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2025 results today, urging them to view the outcome as the beginning of a longer educational journey.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi reminded students to accept their results with an open heart, emphasising that the examination marks only the first step forward.
“What matters most is believing that you have done your best,” he said in a Facebook statement, while encouraging students to express gratitude to parents, guardians, family members, and teachers whose prayers and sacrifices contributed to their achievements.
Zahid added that students should continue moving forward and choose their paths wisely, noting that Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) remains a viable option for building a strong future.
In separate messages shared on social media, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir, and his deputy Adam Adli Abdul Halim echoed similar sentiments.
Fadillah congratulated students and parents, stressing that there is no such thing as failure in completing this phase of education.
“This is the starting point for taking a step further in the educational journey. For those who have not achieved the expected results, continue striving. Every effort is a step towards success,” he said.
He also expressed appreciation to teachers for their commitment and dedication in guiding students.
Meanwhile, Zambry assured that access to higher education remains widely available, with applications for the University Central Unit (UPU) currently open for students to pursue studies in public and private institutions, as well as polytechnics and community colleges.
“Success is not determined by a single decision, but by continuous effort, discipline, and determination,” he said.
Adam Adli described the results as a new beginning, encouraging students to explore broader opportunities and persevere in their pursuits.
“What reaches your hands today is the start of a longer journey. Keep moving forward and explore opportunities,” he said. — March 31, 2026
