KUALA LUMPUR – An armed gang carried out a swift mid-morning robbery at a jewellery shop in Sentral Suites, Brickfields today, assaulting a security guard and escaping with a haul of valuables within minutes.
CCTV footage cited by Scoop shows the incident occurring at approximately 10.48am, when four masked individuals arrived in a white Nissan Almera before launching their attack.
The suspects, believed to be armed with shotguns and pistols, first assaulted a security guard stationed outside the premises before forcing their way into KVT Gold & Diamonds.
Once inside, the group threatened staff and swiftly looted a substantial amount of jewellery, clearing display sections in a highly coordinated operation.
The entire robbery was carried out in a matter of minutes before the suspects fled the scene in the same vehicle.
No fatalities have been reported at the time of writing, although the condition of the assaulted security guard remains unclear.
The incident marks the second violent case linked to Sentral Suites within a year.
In June 2025, a fatal shooting at a restaurant along Jalan Tun Sambanthan left one man dead and two others injured after gunmen opened fire on diners late at night.
