KUALA LUMPUR – Parti Wawasan Negara (Wawasan) has announced its central leadership line-up, bringing together veteran politicians, former ministers, Members of Parliament and professionals in a newly structured leadership team.
Former Dewan Negara President Rais Yatim has been appointed as Chairman, while Larut MP and former Bersatu deputy president Hamzah Zainudin has been named President of the party, local media reported.
The appointments were confirmed during Wawasan’s extraordinary general meeting held in Petaling Jaya yesterday.
Former Bersatu Johor associate member Tan Lek Khang was named Deputy President.
The party’s five vice-presidents include former Bersatu Melaka chief Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik, Tasek Gelugor MP Wan Saiful Wan Jan, former MCA Youth secretary-general Leong Kim Soon, former Parti Cinta Malaysia president Huan Cheng Guan, and Mohd Omar Mustapha.
Indera Mahkota MP Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah has been appointed Secretary-General, while Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad will serve as Information Chief.
The Treasurer-General position goes to Datuk Arifin Tobias, with Mohd Badrul Ezan Mohd Yusof appointed as Executive Secretary.
Wawasan also announced 25 central committee members, including Gerik MP Fathul Huzair Ayob, Padang Rengas MP Azahari Hasan, and former Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Vice-Chancellor Ibrahim Shah Abu Shah. – June 21, 2026
