Former chief justice Tun Mohamed Eusoff Chin passes away at 91

KUALA LUMPUR – Former Chief Justice Tun Mohamed Eusoff Chin passed away today at the age of 91.

The matter was confirmed by former Malaysian Bar president Mohamad Ezri Abdul Wahab in a text message to Bernama.

He said a message posted by the late Mohamed Eusoff’s daughter, Zuliana, stated that her father passed away at 1 am today.

Funeral prayers will be held at Masjid Al-Hidayah, Kelana Jaya, before he is laid to rest at Tanah Perkuburan Islam Seksyen 9, Kota Damansara.

Mohamed Eusoff served as Malaysia’s second Chief Justice from September 1994 to December 2000. – August 7, 2026
