KUALA LUMPUR – Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak will serve the remainder of his prison sentence under residential confinement following a decision by the Federal Territories Pardons Board today.
The announcement comes hours after top officials, including Federal Territories Minister Hannah Yeoh and Attorney General Tan Sri Dusuki Mokhtar, were seen entering Istana Negara early Friday morning for the high-stakes session.
While Yeoh had earlier dismissed a viral letter regarding a house arrest order as fake, official confirmation from the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) has now verified that an addendum decree granting executive clemency under conditional home confinement has been officially issued. – September 18, 2026
