KUALA LUMPUR – The Selangor Palace administration has received police reports concerning an individual accused of impersonating the private bodyguard of the Raja Muda of Selangor to deceive members of the public over purported land and luxury car sales for personal gain.

In a statement today, the palace said it viewed the matter seriously and had left it to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to conduct a comprehensive, fair and transparent investigation.

It also stressed that no one involved in the case would be protected.

“The Selangor Palace administration takes this matter seriously and leaves it to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to conduct a thorough investigation fairly and transparently. The palace administration will not protect any party involved in this case,” the statement said.

The statement was issued by the Office of the Sultan of Selangor at Istana Alam Shah in Klang.

The palace urged members of the public to verify any claims linking individuals to the royal household with its administration before proceeding with transactions or other dealings.

It said the checks were necessary to prevent people from being misled by individuals using the palace’s name or their purported royal connections for personal gain. – October 19, 2026
