KUALA LUMPUR – The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) has confirmed the departure of Jeffer Rosobin, who has stepped down from his coaching role due to family commitments.
Jeffer, who joined BAM in October 2023 as head of juniors before transitioning to the senior women’s singles department later that year, has played a key role in shaping Malaysia’s emerging badminton talents.
BAM coaching director, Rexy Mainaky, acknowledged Jeffer’s contributions, stating, “Jeffer has been a valuable member of our coaching setup, bringing his expertise and commitment to the junior programme.
His guidance has been instrumental in the growth of many promising players. While we are sad to see him go, we respect his decision and wish him and his family the very best.”
Reflecting on his time in Malaysia, Jeffer expressed gratitude for the support he received. “It has been an honor to work with BAM and be part of Malaysia’s badminton development. This decision was not easy, but my family needs me at this time. I will always cherish my time in Malaysia and look forward to seeing the players achieve greater success,” he said.
