PETALING JAYA – Datuk Ab Ghani Hassan has been elected president of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) after defeating his sole challenger, Datuk Seri Shahril Mokhtar, 20-5 in the association’s presidential election.
The Malaysian Football League (MFL) president secured the backing of a majority of FAM affiliates to take over the leadership of Malaysian football’s governing body for the 2025-2029 term.
