With more than 78% of the Madani Medical Scheme (MMS) healthcare programme’s RM100 million budget already utilised, the nationwide initiative that was rolled out nationwide only five months ago will now revert to the initial ten districts.
The Madani Medical Scheme has provided over a million free treatments for minor ailments to patients at registered private clinics since it was introduced on June 15.
The Madani Medical Scheme will be extended nationwide with an allocation of RM100 million under Budget 2024, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The Health Ministry (MOH) and the Education Ministry will continue to get the biggest allocations under the Madani Bugdet 2024 to be tabled on October 13, according to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
