KUALA LUMPUR – Human Resource Minister Datuk Seri Ramanan Ramakrishnan has lauded the international success of five primary school pupils, describing their achievement as proof of Malaysia’s expanding pool of talent in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
The students – Aarthisha Thiban, Aatheesha Moorthy, Keshwine Elattachan, Arvin Kumar, and Puraarni Vivegan – not only brought pride to their school but also enhanced Malaysia’s reputation on the global stage.
“These children have proven that age is not a barrier to competing and achieving excellence at the world level,” Ramanan said, stressing that international participation demands discipline, courage, and self-confidence.
Earlier this month, the Minister met four pupils from SJK (T) Ladang Kinrara who represented Malaysia at the World Youth STEM Invention and Innovation 2026 in Bangkok.
He expressed gratitude to the teachers and parents present, calling them the backbone of the children’s journey towards international recognition.
Ramanan further highlighted the importance of nurturing talent from an early age, noting that the students’ aspirations to become scientists, astronauts, and doctors reflect the kind of “big dreams” needed to propel Malaysia forward.
He concluded by encouraging more young Malaysians to draw inspiration from this achievement and aim for global excellence. — February 27, 2026
