Tan Sri S.A. Vigneswaran has defended his MIC presidency for the third consecutive term, which he won uncontested. This came after nominations for the internal polls for the 2024-2026 term closed at noon today.
Putrajaya’s ten-year plan to restructure the economy to empower the Bumiputera, while not sidelining other races, will be launched in June, according to Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli told the Dewan Rakyat today.
The government, through government-linked companies (GLCs) and government-linked investment companies (GLICs), has approved a special initial fund of RM1 billion to nurture a new generation of Bumiputera entrepreneurs, said Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The definition of Bumiputera economic empowerment should not only be seen through the control of equity alone but also through genuine participation and ownership, said Economic Minister Rafizi Ramli.
