Authorities have issued an eviction notice to the operator of Gua Lepak foodcourt, which operates within a 400-million-year-old limestone cave in Gombak, Selangor.
The Minerals and Geoscience Department asserted that it was not consulted by any developer or local authorities regarding the technical review of the Gua Lepak restaurant's development, which is situated in a sensitive cave area.
There has been a spate of viral videos showing vehicles from neighbouring countries such as Thailand and Singapore being filled with Malaysia's heavily subsidised RON95 petrol, indicating a blatant disregard for local laws.
