Malaysia hopes to reduce its food import bill, for shallots at least, by 30% by 2030 through a local cultivation initiative, said Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu.
The Agriculture and Food Security Ministry has assured that the onion supply will not be affected following India’s ban on exports of the vegetable yesterday.
